Updated: Mar 22, 2022

Makes: 14 ounces Stores: Cover with a lid and chill

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes

A great and easy recipe. We use this recipe to make chocolate milk, cookies, various desserts and most importantly drizzling it over ice cream! It is very runny when warm but is a nice thick syrup when chilled

Ingredients

1/2c of cocoa powder, unsweetened

1c Turbinado sugar

1/2c water, room temperature ~ 70 degrees

Pinch of kosher salt

Instructions
  1. Put a saucepan on a burner and turn it on the medium heat

  2. Whisk together cocoa and sugar until fully combined

  3. Add in the salt and water, bring to a boil, stirring constantly

  4. Reduce to a simmer, stirring constantly, for 1 minute

  5. Take off the heat and transfer to a heat-safe dish, like Pyrex

Enjoy!
